Girls Coach

Under 12s to under 16s Girls
Schoool Year 5-13 - Training Day - Sunday 10am
Girls’ rugby training for U12s through to U16s takes place in a combined, supportive environment where players of all ages learn and grow together. Training sessions are designed to be inclusive and adaptable, allowing younger players to develop core skills such as passing, catching, tackling technique, and spatial awareness, while older players take on more advanced elements like tactical awareness, structured gameplay, and leadership responsibilities. By training as one group, players benefit from shared learning, with the younger girls inspired and supported by the older ones, and the older age groups developing their leadership and mentoring skills by guiding their younger teammates.
The sessions focus on teamwork, communication, and enjoyment, ensuring that every player, regardless of age or experience, feels valued and able to progress at their own pace. Coaches create a fun but challenging environment that balances skill development with fitness, game understanding, and the values of respect and sportsmanship. This combined approach not only helps players improve technically and tactically, but also strengthens the bonds within the squad, fostering friendships, confidence, and resilience. By the time players reach the U16 level, they have not only built the skills needed to succeed in competitive rugby and transition into senior teams, but they have also developed a strong sense of belonging and pride in their rugby journey.
